gather ingredients
You will need chicken legs, olive oil or avocado oil, za'atar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and fresh lemon.
season the chicken
Mix together the spices while you heat a large skillet with oil. Pat dry the chicken legs and season them generously with the zaatar blend.
pan fry
Place half the chicken legs in the skillet, then cook for 3 minutes on each side. Repeat, turning until the chicken is done. This should take 15-20 minutes.
garnish and serve
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with the fresh lemon zest and chives or parsley. Drizzle with lemon juice and serve.
