This 30-minute meal is so simple to make! Beef, chicken and veggies cook quickly in a savory, garlic sauce.
gather ingredients
You'll need: flank steak or skirt steak, chicken thighs, stir fry veggies of choice, coconut aminos (or tamari/soy sauce), garlic, toasted sesame oil, sweetener of choice.
make the sauce
Combine the coconut aminos/tamari, water, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, sweetener, sriracha (if using) and xanthan gum (or corn starch). This is your marinade and stir fry sauce!
marinate the steak
Use 2-3 tablespoons of the sauce to marinate the steak. Add the chicken to a large skillet to cook for 3-4 minutes.
sauté
Add the marinated steak to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes or until the chicken pieces are done. Remove the meat and sauté the veggies.
combine
Return the chicken and steak to the skillet. Pour in the remaining stir fry sauce and cook for 1-2 minutes to reduce and let the sauce thicken.
serve
Dish up the easy stir fry and serve with red pepper flakes or sesame seeds, if you like!
